DTF Artwork & Image Requirements

VERY IMPORTANT — PLEASE READ BEFORE SUBMITTING YOUR ORDER

Aint She Precious LLC prints the artwork you provide as submitted. To receive the best possible DTF print quality, all customer-supplied artwork must be print-ready, properly sized, high-resolution, and prepared on a transparent background before uploading.

DTF transfers can reproduce full-color graphics, text, logos, and photographs and can be applied to many fabrics, including cotton, cotton/poly blends, and 100% polyester.

Artwork Requirements

Before uploading your artwork, please make sure:

  • File Type: High-quality PNG with a transparent background
  • Recommended Resolution: 300 DPI
  • Color Mode: RGB recommended
  • Maximum Print Width: 12 inches
  • Artwork is submitted at the exact size you would like it printed
  • Backgrounds are completely removed and edges are clean
  • Artwork is high-resolution and not blurry or pixelated
  • Fine lines and small details are thick enough to print and transfer properly
  • Artwork is legally authorized for you to reproduce
  • ARTWORK MUST BE PRINT-READY

Aint She Precious LLC is a printing service. Customer-supplied artwork is printed as submitted.

Customers are responsible for reviewing and approving the quality, resolution, dimensions, spelling, colors, transparency, backgrounds, and overall appearance of their artwork before submitting an order.

Standard DTF printing does not include:

  • Individual file quality inspections
  • Artwork correction or cleanup
  • Background removal
  • Resolution enhancement
  • Redrawing or vectorizing artwork
  • Color correction or color matching
  • Spell checking
  • Resizing unless specifically requested
  • Individual design arrangement or gang-sheet creation

From time to time, I may notice an obvious issue with a file and contact you before printing. This is provided as a courtesy and should not be considered or expected as a pre-print quality inspection or approval service.

The absence of a quality warning does not mean that customer-supplied artwork has been reviewed or approved for image quality.

AI-Generated Artwork & Background Removal

Please carefully inspect artwork created using AI image generators, including ChatGPT and similar tools, as well as artwork processed through automatic or free background-removal services.

Removing a background from a completed image can alter the boundary edges of the artwork. This may result in:

  • Blurry or softened edges
  • Pixelation
  • Distorted shapes or fine details
  • Missing portions of the design
  • Unwanted pixels or outlines
  • Color changes around edges
  • White or colored remnants from the original background

These imperfections may be difficult to notice on a phone or computer screen but can become much more noticeable when the image is enlarged and printed.

Using an AI-generated image or background remover does not automatically make a file print-ready.

Please zoom in and carefully inspect your artwork before uploading.

If your artwork needs to be recreated or professionally prepared for printing, design creation/recreation services are available starting at $25 per design.

Sizing

Artwork should be submitted at the size you want it printed.

If you are unable to size your artwork yourself, you may order individual 12×12 sheets and provide the garment sizes or requested design dimensions.

If resizing is requested, I am happy to assist when possible; however, Aint She Precious LLC is not responsible for distortion, loss of resolution, or changes in image quality resulting from enlarging or resizing customer-supplied artwork.

DTF Sheet Pricing & Design Placement

DTF transfers are priced per sheet, not per individual design.

A 12×12 sheet is $6, and you may fit as many designs as will physically fit within the 12×12 print area.

The number of designs that fit on one sheet will vary based on the dimensions of each design. For example, several small pocket logos may fit on one 12×12 sheet, while one full-front design may require most or all of a sheet.

There is no guaranteed number of designs per 12×12 sheet.

Gang Sheets

For customers who would like to maximize their print space, you may create and submit your own gang sheet.

Gang sheets should be:

  • 12 inches wide
  • Any desired length
  • Properly sized before uploading
  • Arranged exactly as you would like the designs printed
  • Submitted with adequate spacing between designs for cutting

Creating, arranging, sizing, or optimizing customer artwork into a gang sheet is not included with standard DTF printing unless specifically purchased or agreed upon.

If your completed gang sheet falls between available length options, please select the next size up at checkout.

For example: If your artwork extends to 29 inches, purchase a 36-inch gang sheet.

Resolution

300 DPI is recommended for best results.

Low-resolution artwork may appear acceptable on a screen but become blurry or pixelated when enlarged for printing.

Increasing the DPI number alone does not restore detail to an originally low-resolution image.

Transparent Backgrounds

Artwork should be submitted with a true transparent background.

DTF printers use white ink. If your artwork contains a white background, that white background may print as part of the transfer.

Please inspect artwork carefully after using background-removal software to ensure no unwanted pixels, halos, outlines, or background remnants remain.

Edge Quality

Please zoom in and inspect the edges of your artwork before uploading.

Edges should be clean and sharp and should not contain blurry pixels, unwanted outlines, background remnants, or “dirty” colors caused by improper background removal.

If the edges appear blurry or distorted at 100% zoom, the issue may become more noticeable once printed.

A higher-quality original file or professional recreation/vectorization may be necessary.

Colors

Aint She Precious LLC does not guarantee exact color matching on customer-supplied artwork.

Colors displayed on phones, tablets, and computer monitors can differ from printed colors.

Please verify your colors before submitting your artwork. If exact brand colors are important, please verify the appropriate color values within your artwork before ordering.

RGB color mode is recommended. Files submitted in CMYK may experience changes in vibrancy when processed for DTF printing.

White Underbase & Fine Details

DTF printing uses a white underbase beneath printed colors.

Extremely small or thin details may not receive sufficient underbase and may not transfer properly onto the garment.

Artwork containing extremely fine details below approximately 9 pt is not recommended.

Small Text & Fine Print

Very small lettering and fine details may not print or transfer properly.

As a general guideline, text smaller than approximately 0.35 inches may not produce reliable results depending on the font and thickness.

For best results, increase the size or thickness of very fine text, lines, and design elements.

Transparency & Gradients

Semi-transparent and translucent gradients are not recommended for DTF printing.

Partial transparency can interact with the printer's white underbase and may create jagged edges, unexpected white areas, or a different appearance from what you see on screen.

For best results, make transparent elements more solid or remove partial transparency from the artwork.

Screenshots, Mockups & Watermarked Images

Screenshots, photographs of designs, mockups, and watermarked images are not considered print-ready artwork and will not be accepted as print-ready files.

Please upload the original, high-resolution design file whenever possible.

Copyright & Trademarked Artwork

Customers are responsible for ensuring they have the legal right or appropriate permission to reproduce all submitted artwork.

Trademarked or copyrighted artwork—including certain professional sports logos, entertainment characters, fashion brands, and other protected intellectual property—may require authorization before reproduction.

Aint She Precious LLC assumes no responsibility for unauthorized customer-submitted artwork.

Reprints & Customer-Supplied Artwork

Because DTF transfers are custom printed using the artwork submitted by each customer, returns and exchanges are not available for issues resulting from customer-supplied artwork.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Blurry or pixelated artwork
  • Low-resolution files
  • Poorly removed backgrounds
  • Unwanted outlines or pixels
  • Incorrect sizing supplied by the customer
  • Spelling or design errors
  • Color differences originating from the supplied file
  • AI-generated image defects
  • Transparency issues
  • Other quality issues contained within the submitted artwork

If the transfer accurately reflects the customer-supplied file, reprinting with a corrected, rebuilt, or replacement file requires a new order and payment.

If Aint She Precious LLC makes a verified production or printing error, please contact us so the issue can be reviewed and corrected appropriately.

Production Time

Current standard production time is approximately 2 business days after payment and receipt of print-ready artwork.

Rush service may be available depending on current production volume.
